Redefining music for visual media, together.
A collective advancing diversity in music in visual media
MIM’S is France-based artistic, supportive, and committed collective. We bring together people of color from diverse and multifaceted backgrounds—women, men, queer, LGBTQIA+, non-binary, disabled, and neurodivergent—who come from rich and varied experiences, often underrepresented in an industry that remains far too closed.
We share a common goal: to make music for visual media more representative of the world we live in.
MIM'S stands for:
M — Mille (“thousand”) → Richness of our stories
I — Inclusion → Our core value
M — Music → Our passion
S — Diversity → Our strength
We don’t need to be included—we already exist.
We are composers, beatmakers, arrangers, sound designers, and musicians.
We craft soundscapes shaped by our diverse stories.
We reject invisibility and symbolic recognition.
Our strength comes from the intersection of our experiences and identities.
Our voices are diverse, our presence is purposeful, and our work is collective.
MIM’S is our strength, our space, our future.

Why MIM’S ?
Building a fair, inclusive, and representative music-for-visual-media industry.
Our mission is to:
Create a space for visibility and support for artists of color in an industry still largely dominated by an elitist network
Encourage exchange and collaboration through concrete tools: member directories, playlists, discussion groups, events, and more
Challenge systemic barriers and work toward structural change in the music-for-visual-media industry
Inspire the next generation by showing that different stories and sounds are not only possible—they are essential
